He grew it into a worldwide enterprise, with offices in more than 30 countries, taking it public in Japan in 2000 with a listing on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Oshima was a pioneer in the field of Ethernet technologies and solutions. With its humble beginnings in 1987, offering high-quality Ethernet media converters, the company soon expanded its portfolio to become a serious competitor in the global Ethernet networking space.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Oshima was a great man. Larger than life with boundless energy, generosity, and humor, he was a visionary, an entrepreneur, and an unwavering leader.
